Rainbow Bridge

Doc
Docie was the best thing that ever happened to this ranch. For an abused old fellow he was a wise one. He loved everyone and snotted each person he came in contact with. He forgave the neglect inflicted on him. RIP 10-09
Holly Belle
Holly was a majestic creature. Plagued with Cancer it took her life. RIP 1-10
Teddy Bear
Neglected but given another chance. Her final months were wonderful and she was surrounded by caring people. She lost her life to the "Blister beetle" RIP 7-10
Eli
Eli had seen lots of abuse and neglect. But so wanted to be accepted. He lost his battle to bad colic. RIP 8-10

People tell the story of the Rainbow Bridge to comfort themselves after the loss of a faithful animal friend and to help ease the pain by suggesting that they will be reunited some day. Passion Horse has chosen a different path; a path that honors the memories of the horses themselves. They deserve it, for they brought joy, laughter, smiles, and unconditional love to all those they left behind, and for that, they will always be remembered with fondness, honor, and respect. It is truly all about the horses...

Alice
Valiant, beautiful, hard to reach, harder to catch, impossible to resist. Devoted, beloved, and sweet. Tragically succumbed to liver failure after a 3 day ordeal. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her. RIP Sweetheart. 11-10
"Old Man" D'Artagnan
Mimi (volunteer for 5 years now) rescued this poor old horse that someone was walking around Benbrook stables trying to sell. Broke down, very thin and very poorly cared for. So they took him. Rehab'ed him and placed him. About a year later Passion Horse got a call... thin horse that was a PH horse needs RE-RESCUED! Debra had been away on business and went directly from the airport to the ranch, picked up the trailer and was at Benbrook stables at almost 12pm to pick up this horse. Angry, emotional and sad all in one emotion describes PH's feelings about this adoption. We brought Old man in and AGAIN fixed him. This time he went to a FOREVER HOME. Our Farrier named Aaron Parker felt strongly about making sure this old guy had a final place and he was this. For over 3 years he has lived with them. Riley his daughter loved this old guy. His final years were wonderful and we are so thankful for what Aaron and his family did for Old man. RIP 12-15-10 Old man... fields of clover, buckets of treats and and a endless supply of food!
Alistar
Alistar  was owned by Rod Spotts a dedicated volunteer here at PH. Alistar lost his battle to Colic and was put down here. He lived almost 4 wonderful years here after being bought from a lady who could no longer afford him. We will remember you for cribbing on our gates and flamingo'ing at us at feeding time.. always wanting to be first! You grumpy old horse.. we will miss you TERRIBLY! Tell Doc we said HI!  RIP 3-20-11
Sniper

RIP 6-20-11
This old horse was a rope horse. His mind was blown and no affection what so ever.. Until Vicki... he saw hope... he opened up and loved her....For his final 2 years he lived on her farm and was loved and spoiled... RIP "Old Man"....
Abby
crossed the rainbow bridge 7-26-11 due to severe neglect. We tried and tried to get her healthy and the summer intense heat got her. So sad that people neglect their animals. This little lady was awesome! I will never forget that she worked during summer camp. Intially we pulled her just to brush and bathe. But she did so well we let the little one's on her to be lead around. She LOVED IT! You could tell she had a passion for the children. Pepped up her step and was walking like she was a princess! Proud of her job. Thank you Abby for loving our PH kids! RIP you very sweet and gentle girl!
Sparkle  RIP 6-11. Sparkle came to us extremely run down. She had been a broodmare that was over bred YES with a foal at her side. She was thin and sick. She never perked up even with good food and good care. It was just too late for this little old lady. She left an orphan foal behind. Who also tried to die on us after his mommy passed away. BUT we were able to save the foal! Please help us educate people about responsible breeding! This mare did not need to die. Just because she was so nice they kept breeding her back to back.. No consideration for her well being.. just wanted nice foals. She leaves behind her legacy in her final foal named "Bullseye".
PMU line mare Isabella
Lost her battle of colic after no health issues her entire life. Tells you how short life can be.....We are thankful to have matched Raeann and Isabella together.. as short as the time was.. the relationship was amazing... like watching them dance when they were together.. although sad I embrace that they found each other... RIP Isabella... your momma will always miss you.....
